My Dad ran a small concrete company for over 30 years, and I grew up hauling forms, tying rebar, and pouring pads before I ever typed an email.  I helped put myself through college working construction, and even though I’ve spent the last couple decades in white-collar roles, I still see myself as a blue-collar guy doing white-collar work. That background is what drives me. I’ve got a deep respect for the people in the field and the folks in the back office trying to make sure everyone gets paid right. These are the people building America — and the systems that are supposed to support them have failed for too long. I’ve spent 25+ years building and scaling HR and payroll solutions, especially for the trades. But one pain point always stuck out: certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union reporting. Nobody ever made it easy, transparent, or connected to the systems contractors already use.
