We’re building an “easy button” for prevailing wage jobs and it starts with our new UKG Ready integration .

If you're a UKG Ready customer running public works projects, we've got good news. We're rolling out a set of updates that take even more manual work off your plate: automatic syncing of time cards, employee demographic data, benefits, PTO, and cost centers, so your prevailing wage calculations and certified payroll reports build themselves instead of you building them. And if you're wondering what to do about the new WH-347 requirements, we've got that covered too.

Let's get started.

How WagePath Is Supporting UKG Ready Customers

Here's the short version. Once these updates and new integrations are rolled out, UKG Ready customers can run WagePath's prevailing wage rate engine and certified payroll reporting tools on data that syncs automatically every day: time cards, employee records/demographics, benefits, time-off and holiday accruals, and cost centers. No more downloading spreadsheets, cleaning them up, and uploading them somewhere else by hand.

In practice, that looks like this:

Time comes in on its own. Your time card data flows straight from UKG Ready into WagePath. No exporting files, no reformatting columns, no re-uploading.

Payroll runs on the right numbers. WagePath calculates the correct prevailing wage rate for every project and every county, applies fringe credits your employees, and sends that processed time back into UKG Ready so payroll is built on accurate numbers from the start.

Reports build themselves. When it's time to file, your certified payroll reports come out in the exact format each agency requires, ready to go. And yes, that includes the new WH-347 form everyone's talking about.

Every download, every reformat, every number someone retypes by hand is a chance for a mistake to creep in. On public works projects, those mistakes put your compliance at risk. This integration is about closing those gaps so you can spend less time on paperwork and more time on the work.

Wait, there's a new WH-347?

Yes. The old WH-347 and WH-348 forms stopped being valid for federal certified payroll reporting on September 30, 2026. The new version asks for more detail on fringe benefits and apprentice status, among other changes.

This matters a lot for everyone (not just UKG Ready customers) because most payroll solutions providers aren't building support for the new form.

Feeling stressed? Don’t. WagePath already generates reports in the new format, so this deadline is a non-issue for our customers. We broke down everything that changed and why in this post.

Does WagePath Replace UKG Ready for Payroll?

No. WagePath isn't a payroll system, a time and attendance tool, or an HRIS, and we're not trying to be. UKG Ready still runs your payroll.

What WagePath does is sit alongside it, handling the parts of public works compliance that general-purpose HCM platforms weren't built for.

Certified payroll on a public works project involves a layer of rules most contractors never encounter anywhere else: Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) and state-level versions sometimes called Little Davis-Bacon laws. Together, these set a minimum prevailing wage for covered work, made up of a base rate and a fringe rate, and require weekly certified reports proving who got paid what, on which project, and at what rate.

Getting that calculation right, and then reporting it in the right format to the right agency, is a specialized job. That's what WagePath does. We connect to the payroll and HCM tools contractors already use, so getting the wage math and the reporting right doesn't require switching systems.

WagePath Rosebud UKG

We believe any contractor should feel bold enough to raise their hand for a public works project. One of the biggest reasons they don't is the pay calculations and the reporting requirements are genuinely complicated.

Removing that barrier is the whole point of WagePath.

What's So Great About the Integration with UKG Ready?

Let’s review:

  • You don't have to switch systems. If you like UKG Ready but dread certified payroll, this solves that problem without asking you to move your payroll somewhere else.
  • You get it right the first time. It's a lot easier to calculate wages and fringe benefits correctly upfront than to go back and fix payroll or reports after the fact.
  • You can save money on fringe credits. Correctly calculated fringe credits mean you're not leaving money on the table or overpaying by accident.
  • You get more transparency. Both employers and employees can see exactly how pay was calculated and what it's based on.
  • It saves you time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does WagePath replace UKG Ready?

No. UKG Ready continues to run your payroll, time and attendance, and HR. WagePath connects to it to handle prevailing wage calculations and certified payroll reporting for public works projects.

What happens to the old WH-347 after September 2026?

As of September 30, 2026, the previous WH-347 and WH-348 forms are no longer valid for federal certified payroll reporting. Contractors need to be using the new format by that date.

Do I need to do certified payroll reporting if I'm a UKG Ready customer?

If your project crosses a federal or state funding threshold, certified payroll reporting applies no matter which payroll or HCM system you run on. UKG Ready doesn't handle prevailing wage calculations or certified reporting on its own, which is exactly the gap WagePath fills.
